Vein treatments use advanced laser technology to target and destroy the blood vessels responsible for veins, causing them to visibly disappear. Since the laser targets the blood vessels within the vein, there is minimal or no damage to the outer layer of skin.

How does it work?

Spider and varicose veins on the face and legs are no match for the Elite+ laser. Using its 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength, it is particularly effective at treating purple, red and blue veins.* Nd:YAG uses selective light that targets the blood inside your veins. Once the light is absorbed by the blood in the vein, it gets heated up and causes the veins to shrink and eventually fade.* Essentially, Elite+ coagulates the vessels and causes them to retreat from the skin’s surface.* The result is smoother, clearer, and younger-looking skin.*

Appointment Prep & Post-Care

Before visiting Velour for your Potenza treatment, there are a few steps you need to take to ensure optimal treatment results!

Before treatment

  • Avoid sun exposure for a week prior to treatment.
  • Shower of bathe the day of treatment to prepare your skin for your SculpSure treatment. Your skin must be free of all makeup, lotions, creams and body oils.
  • Shave and clean the treatment area before arriving.
  • Remove all jewelry and piercings pertinent to the treatment area.
  • Be sure to discuss your medical history and medications you take with your treatment provider.

On the day of treatment

  • Wear comfortable and loose-fitting clothes.
  • Remove any lotions, make-up, and deodorants from your skin.

After treatment

  • Avoid hot baths or whirlpools for one week following treatment.
  • Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, sunless tanning lotions and tanning creams before, during and after treatment. A broad-spectrum sun block (UVA/UVB) and SPF 30 or greater should be applied to the treatment area before any sun exposure.
  • Avoid exercises that can cause vasodilatation for one-week post treatment. Walking is encouraged
  • If makeup is allowed, it must be applied and removed delicately. Excess rubbing can open the area and increase the chance of scarring.
  • Discomfort, such as swelling or redness (lasting from a few hours to a couple of days), can be relieved with acetaminophen or ice packs.
  • Follow-Up Treatment Follow-up vascular treatments should be scheduled at every 4to 6weeks for facial vessels and at least every 6 to 8 weeks for leg veins.

Patients describe a range of sensations from tingling to the snap of a rubber band during the treatment.

Treatments can take anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated.

A series of treatments may be needed to fully clear blood vessels and reduce the appearance of the veins completely. Typically, one to four sessions are needed for desired results.

Many patients experience immediate improvement in the appearance of their veins following the treatment followed by continued improvement over the next week or so
