Micro-Needling

Promote skin repair and reduce the appearance of aging, wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks with Dermaroller Micro-Needling! Our team of professionally-trained Medical Aestheticians and Technicians are certified in the use of medical-grade micro-needling equipment to ensure your skin looks healthy and rejuvenated.

What Does Treatment Look Like?

The Dermaroller® causes minimally invasive and precise micro-injuries to your skin without causing open wounds or damage. This triggers the body to heal the wound and increase collagen production to construct new tissue. This stimulation of healthy cell regeneration reduces wrinkles, tightens skins, and smooths scars.

What Do We Use?

Here at Velour Laser, we use the Dermaroller which is a tool licensed by Health Canada that meets all standards for medical-grade equipment.

It consists of micro-needles that are atraumatic and will not damage your skin (unlike poor-quality devices that slice through tissue). These non-ablative needles maintain the integrity of your skin and require fewer perforations to achieve amazing results!

Frequently Asked Questions

What will I look like after a micro-needling treatment?

Following treatment, you may experience mild swelling and redness similar to a mild sunburn as well as minimal bruising. These after-effects last around 24-48 hours.

Is micro-needling painful?

There is minimal pain that may be experienced during the treatment. However, you can have numbing cream applied to the area beforehand to minimize any pain.

Can micro-needling be done on any skin color?

Yes! Micro-needling is safe and effective on all skin types and colors.

How many treatments do I need to see results?

Micro-needling can be repeated every 4-6 weeks until you see results but the number of treatments required depends on how your skin responds to the treatment. However, you will notice some improvement following your first appointment!

Are there any risks of infections following a treatment?

Our equipment ensures that the micro-injuries caused to your skin close within an hour so post-treatment infections are extremely rare.
